Good morning. It's 65 degrees but it rained overnight so everything's wet and it's very windy. Maybe I'll go to Old Chicago later and have some pizza and beer for lunch.

I went to Old Chicago but instead of having pizza I had Italian nachos. The chips are made from pasta and the dipping sauce is spicy marinara. The nachos come with pepperoni, Italian sausage, mozzarella, provolone, pepper jack and pepperoncini. They were delicious.

I am thankful that I live in a place where if the halfwits running the show (and let's face it, a large measure of halfwittery is a prerequisite to become a politician, anywhere in the world) decided to stop paying government employees over a petty political squabble, there would be carnage on the streets, not hard working public servants being forced to work for no pay.
Other than that - the heatwave is back again. I don't know how long it's been or how long to go, but it is hot.
A couple of places topped 48°C (118°F) yesterday. Temperature records aren't being just broken, the entire record book has been throw out and they're starting a rewrite...
