Good morning, Bill!

It is a balmy -7 here according to my Accuweather app with a -27 wind chill. School is cancelled for the third day in a row and I am highly doubting we will be there tomorrow. Car wouldn't start yesterday but jumped the battery and it was purring and producing heat later in the day. Have a new battery on order which hubby says I won't need but there is a part of me that thinks the $190 is worth it for the peace of mind. Have ventured out to the garage to see if the car will turn over but should do that soon just in case we decide we need to get out of pajama and/or the house today.

I was joking that had I known we would have been off this whole week I would have booked an impromptu trip to Florida but their weather isn't much to write home about either...

Stay warm all.

Good morning. The temperature was 36 when I woke up this morning, it's 33 now and the wind chill is 25. It's nothing like what some of you are going through so I won't complain, I'll just stay inside, do laundry and drink coffee. AMC ran all 3 Godfather movies over the weekend and I DVR'd them. They're long movies to begin with but with commercials the total running time is 12 1/2 hours. Maybe I'll watch the first one today.

That's one of my favorite lines, along with "I don't want my brother coming out of the toilet with just his d!ck in his hand." :o

Got three inches of snow last night. Shoveled the walks and driveways. Temp was 10 this morning.
Not too horrible. Supposed to get the real cold stuff tomorrow. :pirate:

I have you ALL beat. Eastern Iowa, 2:00 AM this morning the temperature was -25 degrees, wind chill was -52 degrees.
Right now (12:40 PM CST) it’s -15 degrees with a wind chill of -41.
Forecast for tonight is calling once again for wind chills to be from -50 to -60 degrees.
I’m 67 years old and this is the coldest weather I’ve ever had the displeasure to be part of.
I walked across the street yesterday to my mailbox, was outside for less than two minutes, and my left eye was frozen shut by the time I was back in the house.
I was born in December of 1951- two weeks after I was born (January of 1952) the U.S. Postal Service suspended mail delivery due to the weather being dangerously cold. Today, for the first time in 67 years, there will be no mail delivery in Iowa, Minnesota, W. Wisconsin, W. Illinois,
South Dakota, Montana, and North Dakota due to the lethal weather conditions.
As for me, I’ve been INSIDE my house since last Wednesday and have no intention of leaving to go anywhere until AT LEAST Friday. Just staying home, watching movies, playing music, and guzzling hot apple cider and chicken broth.
Still living the dream. :-?

It made it up to the mid-40s so I got my haircut then went for a walk in the park. With my shorter 'do I didn't have to worry about the wind messing it up.

Evening BNers

Compared to most of you, it is a balmy 56° but gusty winds. I really am not complaining but being outside it is cooler than we are used to.
It is so cool that the restaurants are giving FREE hot chocolate. And Disney doesn't give anything away. 😂
