Kevin is home sick today - got his Shingles booster yesterday and he's not feeling well. Not as bad as after the first one (felt like he got hit by a bus) but not good enough that he wanted to go to work. But, he would stay home from work because he stubbed his toe if his wife would let him.

Good morning. I'll have to get outside and do stuff, it's 72 degrees already. But first I have to get a new passport picture. My passport doesn't expire until next year but in case airfare comes down to a more reasonable level and I go to the Dublin show, I want to renew it early. The last time I renewed it was the year after I retired and I had long hair. I look like a serial killer in my current passport picture.

any one get the "Real ID" yet?

Pennsylvania is one of the states that has an extension until August of this year for residents to comply.

We can take the required documents to a licensing center now so when it goes into effect we will beat the rush and have ours issued right away.

We plan to do that next week after work since we may be flying in May and are definitely flying after Thanksgiving.

any one get the "Real ID" yet?

I got mine last year. South Carolina lets you do it online as long as they already have your info on file. I went to the DMV's website and after answering a few questions they determined they had everything they needed from me. I entered my credit card info to pay the fee and received my new drivers license in the mail about a week later. The only visible difference is a gold star in the upper right corner of the license.

WOW -- that's nice! PA is so far behind the times in almost everything - they require a face-to-face visit with original documents in hand.

I wet to the mall because JC Penney has a portrait studio. They don't do passport pictures. I asked the woman at the counter if she knew anyplace I could go to and she said she had hers done at Walgreens. Mission accomplished. I stopped at the supermarket on the way home, the bakery department has muffins on sale this week, and I sampled 3 new beers at the Beer Den (4 oz. glasses that they only fill about halfway) then I had a pint of a 4th new beer. It was a good day.

It's been pouring off and on all day.
I did a few things around the house then made a quick trip to the meat market. Nothing much happening here today. Trying to take it easy cause I'll definitely be on overdrive next week at work. Have a great afternoon.

In addition to doing passport photos, AAA also does International Driver's Licenses and Foreign Currency Exchange.

No purses needed, but they're cute.

I renewed my Passport in December, pictures done at Walgreens.

Another PT appointment, and it's not helping. Not hurting anything, but after my doctor appointment Tuesday, I'll decide with the doc if it's really necessary. And the PT place agreed. Good thing with all the medical stuff, I've met my deductible already.

Can't remember if I said, but we survived the State survey (Audit), with only a few issues that aren't TOO serious.

So ready for the weekend. A usual stop at Mom's on Saturday, if she needs anything. Then E and I are gonna shop for a new bed (Christmas present from Cameron). After that, we'll take our long time family friend out for Cajun food she loves. Jessie and his Cajun food truck (at the brewery we go to) has an actual restaurant now.

Sunday we'll head to the Rec Center again (FINALLY), and I can ride the recumbent bike, and then I'll swim while E walks.

This morning it was -8 wind chill. But the sun came out, and still melted stuff on the roads. 38 tomorrow. Heat wave.
