We'll be at brunch sunday, and maybe Mac, depends if I am staying 3 nights, definately Brunch, thanks, and thanks for the hotel advice, too!!!Carolinadreamin' wrote:Bfan53 wrote:Hey CD,Carolinadreamin' wrote:Where are you coming from at 3 PM?Bfan53 wrote:Hey Carolinadreamin'.....nice to hear from you!Carolinadreamin' wrote:OK pholks.......the time has come to discuss what we're going to eat/drink at the tailgate and who's going to bring what.........
I'll start with what ALWAYS comes to a tailgate with us:
1. Jello shots(well I thought I would start off with a bang)
2. Black bean salsa with chips
3. pop up tent
4. rum cake
5. grilled shrimp
6. rum
We have decorations also.
I thought we could post what we would bring and make a list and see what we still need. So drink that coffee and get to thinkin'!![]()

We'll have some decorations to add and a blueberry coffee cake to share for sure. The people coming with us can't leave as early as I'd like so we may not get to the BN tailgate until around 3PM or so. We'll trade cell phone numbers via PM so I can track down the spot hosting the "Party of the Year"!!!!!!![]()
Can you believe we went from Page 28 to 29 in just one day?????? You can tell that time is getting close! I'll be anxious to see BNers I know as well as all the new BNers at NIssan.......Plan on 1 hour to get into the venue at that time from either route 66 or 234. You will most likely be in the far left side lot at that point.
I need to work on a BN flag.......hmmmmmmm.......
ALSO.......I MAY HAVE A LAWN TIX AVAILABLE!!!!!!! I SHOULD KNOW IN A FEW DAYS!!!!![]()
![]()
I'll be coming a back road over from the Best Western Battlefield Inn after checking in. I've done this the past 2 years & traffic was honestly not a problem! Arriving around 3 pm last year we parked in the 2nd row off to the left of the first entrance. Not bad at all.....with your cell number I'll find the BNers no matter where we park!![]()
Any other details on Sunday brunch?????
I think we just need to get peeps to let us know who's coming and decide on a time. So...........
Who's coming to brunch in Old Town Manassas on Sunday? How about 11 AM? Anybody going to Mac's show on Sunday night?

OK so here's a little story:
Last night we went to a party with people from my kid's swim team. Mostly everyone there knows I'm a rabid Buffett fan and of course they were asking about the summer's concerts. This couple comes in the room and says they have backstage passes for the Saturday concert from a radio excutive they are friends with. I start hyperventilating but still manage to invite them to the tailgate. They are complete virgins. She says she would bring something back for him to sign for me. My husband and the rest of the crowd are telling her how much I love Jimmy. I can't even think of what I would have him sign because my mind is still on the fact that this gal is going to shake his hand and wouldn't really care.
So she finally says "you know, you should just go back and meet him instead of me" and she gives me her card with her celll phone # on it.
OMG!!!!! I'm afraid to even think this is going to happen but I've known her for about 4 years and she seemed quite sincere. (And I have witnesses)
But another thought is......I've never heard of Jimmy doing something like this. Can this possibly be true? And if it is......what should I wear? what should I have him sign? I know what I'm going to say so keep the Rum Jumbie away from me until it's over!
If this is all a big mistake I'm going to cry.........

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

Planning - massive, intense planning
I think it is more likely that we are eyebrow deep in planning.Bfan53 wrote:What, no posts to the thread in the last 24 hours????????![]()
Must have been a rough weekend for some of us BNers......![]()
Nevertheless, now it's just.....
24 DAYS/3.43 WEEKS TILL "THE ONE".......
Speaking of planning and everyone's favorite topic of parking...
Does anyone plan on meeting ahead of time so that we can all be parked in the same area? Or is there an easier way to accomplish this at Nissan?

Good question! I think it might be easier to meet close to Nissan and caravan in. We can decide on a time and place as we get closer. Traffic is pretty bad in and out and there are many different lots.BFinnsUp wrote:I think it is more likely that we are eyebrow deep in planning.Bfan53 wrote:What, no posts to the thread in the last 24 hours????????![]()

Do you have a rough estimate on a time? I just want to start preparing those I am bringing, ie I don't want any excuses later on why we can't leave when the head parrot head for this vehicle wants to darn it! I have a full day of fun and frolicking planned and no one better get in my way.Carolinadreamin' wrote:Good question! I think it might be easier to meet close to Nissan and caravan in. ooh, maybe I need a day off. Do you think you this is early symptoms of margaritaville fever?
OK, yet another day is rapidly passing and still no "WoooooHoooo" posts to this thread by Christine......
Do we need to activate the "Lemon/Lime Alert"? (This is this PH version of the well-known "Amber Alert" system for missing parties....)
This is getting serious. I know she had a great time in Newport last weekend, but she needs to check in here.......
