Lot's of places don't have one. Seattle probably will never get one but I think Texas is deserving of at least one.Parrotheaddiver wrote:new here........so not sure if this the the correct place to ask the question....but everytime I hear of another opening and it is NOT in Texas I am sad![]()

Sure, and leave out Austin, Dallas - Ft. Worth, Houston, Galveston, etc?oceanstate wrote:In Corpus Christi right next to the What-a-Burger!

Austin doesn't need any more cool places to hang out. They have their own.pair8head wrote:Sure, and leave out Austin, Dallas - Ft. Worth, Houston, Galveston, etc?oceanstate wrote:In Corpus Christi right next to the What-a-Burger!
Dallas is way too uptight for a M'ville. And they have no tourist section.
Houston might be cool -- out by NASA or something.
Still...Corpus...in the shadow of Selena.....
If he was to target Texas, it most likely would be South Padre, I'd think.

Then there's the Riverwalk in San Antonio. Might work there. Or maybe out by Seaworld where Rudy's is....pair8head wrote:Sure, and leave out Austin, Dallas - Ft. Worth, Houston, Galveston, etc?oceanstate wrote:In Corpus Christi right next to the What-a-Burger!

WHAT – NO Margaritaville in Texas…well that’s just too much to take after we found out there are no concerts in Mexico…why we better start a boycott or something right away…..

I live in San Marcos between Austin and San Antonio....the closest one is New Orleans and that is around an 8 hour drive....I do visit the one in Cozumel when I am there but would like one here somewhere....I guess the obvious place would the So Padre Island.....pair8head wrote:Lot's of places don't have one. Re: Are we ever gonna get a Margaritaville in Texas
Kemah or Seabrook would be an off-the-hook location for a Margaritaville. Right on the bay, not far from the Gulf, tons of tourists, and the theme is perfect for the area.clearlakeparrot wrote:Next door to Noah's Ark
Seriously... all you non-Texans... if you've never been to Kemah you seriously have to come. It's like Parrothead city, round the clock. Cool bars, with non-stop Parrothead entertainment. It's a rare week that you won't see Kelly McGuire, Troy Allan, Hannah's Reef or some other cool trop rockers doing their thing there. It would make so much sense to put a Margaritaville restaurant there. And clearlakeparrot, you're right. Right next door to Noah's Ark would be a fine place.

Re: Are we ever gonna get a Margaritaville in Texas
While I wouldn't mind seeing a Margaritaville in Texas, I wouldn't want it to be near Noah's Ark. I LOVE that little place... perfect location, perfect surroundings and atmosphere... no need for a M'ville there. Kemah Boardwalk would be a better spot for it, in my opinion.

Food is damn good. Friday nights are super. You never know who will be there. I love Sunday mornings. The bloody marys are flowing and you have to wait for a seat but its worth it. Be sure to get an oyster shooterMrTwain wrote:Kemah or Seabrook would be an off-the-hook location for a Margaritaville. Re: Are we ever gonna get a Margaritaville in Texas?
I like Kemah or even Port A!
I do not like South Padre, even though I will be going there in June......from where we live we can almost drive to Florida faster than SP.
I do not think Austin would be so bad but they do already have a lot of great places downtown and out on Lake Travis.
Texas needs a Margaritaville!!!!
Welcome Parrotheaddiver, where do you dive most?.......we are actaully going to dive the Clipper in June while in SP
