Who's Going to Cinci/Riverbend June 21st???

I scored 4 seats in row E. So the question is whether or not we bring our show back to Cincy. With the move back to Pine Knob, we've lost our all day tailgate in Detroit, so I wanted to go back to a venue that does it right, all day long....

Sounds like Cincy has quite a few lots that open early When those grassy lots fill, does Riverbend open? Meaning, is there a place we can for sure get into when we arrive?

We are usually in the grass behind the Coney Island lot... We've done hotels, RV's, but we were wondering about just throwing up a tent after this year or sleep in the truck/van and leave out early. Has anyone ever did that? There's always alot of cars and even a few Rv's in the morning there. Thanks! Can't wait for June 21st!!!!

Remember to pull completely off the side of Sutton if waiting to get into the lots.Coppers had they're drawers in a wad last year! Also in 30 years of going to the show I've never purchased tickets prior.Less than face value nearly every year.We wait till just before the show starts and pick em up cheap!

The cars mostly do. It's the massive RV's that can't pull completely off and end up taking up half a lane of traffic that irks the cops. As I mentioned on Page 1, I'm curious how the cops are going to handle things with the line this year.

My 40ft rv cannot fit on Sutton. If I'm there before 8am I go and sit at the casino. They try to run me off but I tell them that I'm not staying and that the police told me to come here to get off the road and then roll up when friends call and say lot is getting ready to open

Last year there were a couple of tents but in years prior security was pretty strict about kicking people out who were not in self contained units

Looking at doing a possible Cinci, Indy and Chicago leg...how are the tailgates at these venues? Fins up!

I am not sure of the Indy tailgating because I have never been there.

Chicago tailgating at Tinley is ok, but doesn't start until 2ish because the lot doesn't open until thereabouts. Also, tailgating is only allowed at Tinley for Buffett. Tailgating at all other concerts is greatly discouraged.

Cinti tailgating is awesome even if the area is disjointed. There is no real contiguous parking lot. Tailgating in the actual Riverbend lots is prohibited so you must tailgate across the street. With that being said, tailgating is in full bloom by 9 am! Another option is the Racesino (casino/racetrack) next door.

The party does start at 9AM,but there's more! The small lot is for the Cincy club.I got in 3 years ago. The bigger lot will fill up quickly.You must be in line early.The gates open at 8.A benefit to these lots is grass.It's cooler than a lot I visited that had fresh blacktop. The heat radiated off that lot-very unconfortable.
