Re: Margaritaville coming to Boston
I would think the Seaport area would have been nicer. My brother told me of the Faneuil Hall area about a year ago. He's an Acoustical Contractor in Boston. The reason of that location was to rebuild that area, that was losing visitors to other areas. I was surprised that was the reason. But, I haven't been to that area in a few years.BottleofRum wrote: ↑June 8, 2021 7:09 pm Official again!

Re: Margaritaville coming to Boston
I wonder if they are using a local company for the designs and construction or does Buffett have his own crew that comes in a builds these restaurants? Would think a few local companies did some of the bidding.drunkpirate66 wrote: ↑June 9, 2021 8:16 pmDoes anyone know anyone connected to this project?

Re: Margaritaville coming to Boston
I'm guessing it will be an out-of-state Construction Manager. But, would use local contractors. I'll see my brother on Sunday, and will ask him. My brother has done work at Fenway , The sea aquarium and a couple of projects in the seaport area.BottleofRum wrote: ↑June 10, 2021 1:17 pmI wonder if they are using a local company for the designs and construction or does Buffett have his own crew that comes in a builds these restaurants? Shawmut Design out of Boston built the Mohegan Sun Margaritaville. The Arch. Was Cuebellas (sp) from Boston. That could be who is doing the Boston project. Shawmut is huge and does a lot of big projects.

Re: Margaritaville coming to Boston
Does late 2021 mean most likely November or December? Hoping they will sell T shirts with Margaritaville Boston written on the back. I bought one with Mohegan Sun on the back in 2018 before it closed.BottleofRum wrote: ↑June 8, 2021 7:09 pm Official again!

Commodore Builders is the contractor. They are an off shoot of Shawmut according to my brother. He isn't bidding the project. Has to much going on now. He would have , if another contractor was doing the project.BottleofRum wrote: ↑June 10, 2021 1:17 pmI wonder if they are using a local company for the designs and construction or does Buffett have his own crew that comes in a builds these restaurants? Re: Margaritaville coming to Boston
Anthem Kitchen & Bar permanently closed! This is probably where Margaritaville is going.
https://www.boston.com/food/restaurants ... aturestack
This placed closed this week. Margaritaville Boston website lists 4 S Market Street, Boston, MA 02109 as their location but that is the Abercrombie & Fitch building with no restaurant on the ground level. Just across the walkway was Anthem Kitchen & Bar which would put it in line after renovations to reopen in a few months as Margaritaville. Decent location. Anyone have other insight?

It fits demographically. That area is better with the tourists and the blueheads, which are the target audience if we're being honest with ourselves. Seaport and South Boston are a substantially younger and hipper demographic.

Yes, the old folks. Older women especially used to get this faintly bluish tinted hair coloring.tailgaitingph wrote: ↑June 25, 2021 7:04 pmBy 'blueheads' so you mean the older generation? Q-tips doesn't make sense because Q-tips are fuzzy white at both ends, while old people are - hopefully - only fuzzy white on their heads.
