Sewing those grass skirts
until my fingers hurt.
How come they made Barbie's waist so damn small?
Stringing little silk leis,
watching silk flowers fray.
Ran out of sharks now it' back to the mall.

Hoping to recapture my missing youth.
Some people say I've way to much time on my hands..
but I know, that just isn't the truth.

Mattel slaps a lawsuit
wants her in a bathing suit.
Says Parrothead Barbie just isn't a fact.
Well I know the story,
They want the glory
of gluing a beer can to Barbie's straw hat.

First came Parrothead Barbie
with her little palm tree.
Now we have Ken in a Hawaiian print shirt.
Soon there'll be Barbie motor-homes,
and toy scalpers with cell phones.
Thinking about it just makes my head hurt.
