Chicago concert???

I went to toyotapark.com, and when you click on the "Music" listing, JB is the background pic. My heart skipped a beat because I thought maybe, MAYBE there was some information on there.

I saw that on the back ground for Toyota Park. It did pull a smile out of me. Now where are the dates???

Ok, I now have Cubs tickets for 4 Fridays--2 in July and 2 in August, and am hoping one of those will be a Buffett weekend too!

I have this funny feeling that Jimmy is going to skip a summer tour this year. The last 3 years I have already had my tickets.

We have been very spoiled the last few years getting concert dates as early as January and having tickets in hand a good 6-8 months before the show is to take place. This is just pure speculation on my part, but there was the unforseen fall that Jimmy had which could have been a factor in delaying the announcement of more dates just to be sure that injuries are healing properly. I think we just need to be patient. we will get our dates.

Chicago - I just received an email from PhiP. The Chicago concert will be on a Saturday in JULY at Bridgeview. (they have not released the date just yet-) FYI- Any clubs permitted for tickets to this show, the order must be in by March 11

I hope the rumor is true. It would be so nice to know that Buffett is come to Chicago in July. Hopefully he'll pick either Saturday the 23rd or Saturday the 30th..

what are Buffett's people's obsession with Toyota Park? The place is a total and utter dump. Who else plays concerts there? The parking lot is beyond small, if you have a seat on the floor---forget it, you can't see anything....I'm convinced Tinely is a much better option.

I am fine with the parking but I pay for premium parking and like 7 spaces. That option is available to anyone who wants it - plenty of tailgate space.

I agree about the field seating which is why I've chosen not to sit there. That is also an option. Section 105 is a personal favorite.

I prefer to Tinley Park because I can Tailgate and tailgate well. I prefer it to Tinley because it is easier to get in and out of. I prefer it to Tinely because it takes on a festival atmosphere versus a police state. Tinley is a ton closer to my house but I'm fine with that sacrafice.

What don't I like about Toyota Park - the stairs and walking needed to get into the place - other than that I'm good.

It's what you make of it in my opinion.

I have generally found better acoustics at Toyota Park, no beams to block the view, and a staff that has gone out of their way to make it a good experience for fans, especially, for me, the year after my accident. They want the concert their, and they act like it--I see that, and I think Jimmy feels he is treated well too.
