Margaritaville Cape Cod to open Summer 2024

From WCVB: New England’s first Margaritaville Resort coming to Hyannis with Cape Codder rebrand

A popular resort on Cape Cod has chosen to rebrand itself as a Margaritaville location.

The Cape Codder Resort & Spa in Hyannis will become the Margaritaville Resort Cape Cod with a $30 million renovation.

The Margaritaville Resort Cape Cod will be New England’s first resort under the brand that was inspired by late singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett, who died last year.

A popular local resort is now tying itself to a brand that was inspired by the late singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett, who died last year.

“Cape Cod is a place with so much history, charm, and personality — it’s the perfect location for our first New England lodging destination,” Rick Cunningham, senior vice president of development at Margaritaville, said in a statement. “Our resorts bring together thoughtful amenities and tropical design elements that provide guests with reimagined travel experiences and Margaritaville Resort Cape Cod promises the same.”

“We were so excited to share our exciting news with all of you. We wanted to share that if you have an existing reservation for the Cape Codder, it WILL be honored when we rebrand. There’s no action required on your part. See you soon!” reads a post on the Cape Codder’s Facebook page.

The Margaritaville Resort Cape Cod is scheduled to welcome visitors this summer. The 272-room resort will include Cape Codder’s indoor water park, which was unveiled eight years ago. The location will also feature an outdoor pool, spa, various entertainment options and Margaritaville-inspired restaurants and bars, including LandShark Bar & Grill and 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar.
