Jimmy Buffett’s former yacht Continental Drifter II for sale

From Boat International: The 27.5-metre Cheoy Lee explorer yacht, Doubleyou, once owned by the renowned American singer Jimmy Buffett (known as Continental Drifter II), has been listed for auction with G3 Auctions. The 24-hour auction will begin at 11.00am (EST) on the 4th September 2025.

Said to have inspired several songs written by the late singer-songwriter – many while he was lounging in the crow’s nest – Doubleyou is the only Cheoy Lee 90 Expedition model designed by American yacht designer Tom Fexas, boasting a navy blue hull with a bulbous bow and a neat, two-deck cream superstructure.

She underwent an extensive interior refit in Indonesia, completed in 2020, that focused on the main saloon, skylounge, bridge and guest cabins. The upgraded, modern styling brought a fresh touch to the yacht’s otherwise traditional aesthetic, penned by Melody Savio, with the now relaxed interior reminiscent of a Hamptons beach house with an understated colour palette, white timber flooring and deckhead panels.

Cassidy Woods of breezeYachting, one of the original listing brokers, said: “Doubleyou is a wonderful opportunity for someone looking to have autonomy at sea in comfort and ease without a hefty price tag. The fact that it was owned and loved by none other than Jimmy Buffett adds a special draw for me as I am a big fan. I also have it on good authority that many celebrities have graced its decks over the years – but I’ll remain tight-lipped about who they are.”

Doubleyou’s original listing price was $2,700,000. The minimum auction bid will be $1,200,000.
