We go to these shows to be with friends, listen to the music, be at a BUFFETT show, and have a good time.
I guess I'm not as jaded as most of you.
I'm just glad he's still out enjoying what he does

Thank you. I can't believe it took this many posts to get to "Pre You". OMG. I mean there are some songs I'm not crazy about, most are on people's list (Math, Elvis, You Call It Jogging, Baby's Gone Shopping, and all the covers). But this song just SUCKS! How did he even release this? It makes me cringe every time I hear it. Which is only on Radio Margaritaville. Once a year.ExPO9600 wrote:No one has mentioned Pre-You? I just never had any love for that song. I've used the line a couple of times, but for me, the song just bites. That being said, I wouldn't walk out of a concert if he started playing it. I'm just happy that Jimmy still tours.
Stoned out jazz? That's a stretch. How about the words? The way he croons the title. You can't like that. Are you kidding me? Then again, you are "Just Ducky". BTW - I hate Cheesebuger, I don't have the box set or SYKBH.JustDucky wrote:That's rich. People go off about how great the actual garbage tunes are (Cultuarl Infidel, Vampires...the entire Last Mango album) and now y'all are stabbing at a beautiful slow ballad that hinges on stoned out jazz?
Where the hell do you come from? I know a lot of people - people that are beyond the SYKBH/box set/MMIM clan - that love this song.
What, it isn't Cheeseburger enough?
Come on.
You're right, "it sucks" is too harsh. Sorry about the name. We're all in this together. Phins up!JustDucky wrote:OK there JBnut. You little cereal you.
My description of Pre-You musically is right on. For Jimmy Buffett, it's as close to stoned out jazz as he's ever gotten. It is a little...soft at times. A bit mushy. But, compared to his entire catalog, it's way off the charts as being different. So it doesn't sit in your bowl at all. But I don't think it SUCKS or is his worst ever or whatever it is you said.
Yeah yeah yeah, my name. It was given to me, I didn't pick it. And I'm too lazy to get another one. I think it's PHJ's way of sort of poking fun at me from this place in a fun way since I go against the grain and tend to say things on purpose to stir people up. Sense of humor and all that. Which a lot of people seem to take too seriously.

Autour Du Rocher (hands down the worst ever)
Remittance Man
Diamond as Big as a Ritz
False Echoes
Math Suks
Reggae Accident
Desperation Samba
Altered Boy
Remittance Man, one of my very favorites. Guess our differences make this interesting.SMLCHNG wrote:Yep.Butch11208 wrote: Here is my list of the worst songs that Jimmy has ever recorded (leaving out the first couple releases):
